The old Refresh packaging was in tubs.

It was painfully obvious that Surrey-based Refresh sports drink mix hadn’t updated its previous packaging (at left) since it launched in the 1980s. It was white male oriented and dated.
We re-branded and updated the look to appeal more equally to both male and female athletes and wanna-be athletes of all ages (and races), by emphasizing the motion and fitness of the athletes, while keeping the figures graphic. Our main graphics show both sexes running effortlessly, one of the most common fitness activities where this product is beneficial. Smaller graphics below show other sports where Refresh is helpful.
Our designs for the new, convenient foil pouches have catapulted the look of this small local company from dated to the latest eye-catching sensation. We selectively used white ink on digitally printed transparent labels so the pouch gleams through the variety colour – making the packages really pop on the shelf at MEC and giving much bigger competitors a run for their money.
